The Global Resilience Summit 2022 is about resilience for today’s challenging times. According to the organizers:
At this time, resilience is critical to humanity’s future and our ability to thrive sustainably here on Earth for generations to come. In this Summit, we will explore how to develop and sustain the individual and collective resilience we need to meet our increasingly complex global challenges with wisdom, skillful means, and compassion.
The summit will be held online and will gather over 35 experts, including Indigenous knowledge holders, who will share their knowledge to help participants:
- Deepen and sustain their well-being & resilience
- Heal trauma and build nurturing & healing relationships
- Co-create healthy, resilient local communities
- Take action for climate resilience and sustainable living
- Envision more resilient social structures and systems
- Live more consciously in true relationship with the Earth
Laureline Simon will address why we need to build climate resilience in addition to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, what a regenerative and trandisciplinary approach to resilience means, why we need to decolonize the future and ‘unlearn’ with the support of a diverse community in order to build a more resilient future, and how tending our emotional and mental health is critical to transformation.
