About this event

This event explores the complex emotional landscape of the biodiversity crisis through a unique multidisciplinary lens.

“Anthropocene Pastoral” is a poignant two-minute video, conceptualized and directed by visual artist Clare Celeste Börsch, that merges the disciplines of visual art, dance, poetry, sound, and cinematography. This collaboration, featuring six international female artists, creates a deeply moving experience that invites us to reflect on our place within the natural world and the emotional weight of ecological loss.

The event will take place on Monday 3 March 2025 from 2 to 3.30 pm CET.

About “Anthropocene Pastoral”

“The climate crisis is not just a scientific or political problem; it’s a human one, deeply rooted in our emotions and our connection to the living world. By bringing together diverse artistic voices, we can create a space for emotional processing, for reflection, and for fostering a deeper understanding of our interconnectedness. A multidisciplinary approach allows us to communicate the urgency and complexity of the biodiversity crisis in a way that resonates on a visceral, emotional level, beyond the reach of data and statistics alone.” (Clare Celeste Börsch, director of the Anthropocene Pastoral project)
